Clinical Practice Guidelines Are Instruments of Support Medical Decions.
Evidence -based clinical practice guides (GPC) are support instruments to medical decisions, which have been systematically developed with the aim of optimizing health care under specific clinical circumstances (1). GPCs are a set of recommendations systematically developed to help professionals and patients to make decisions on the most appropriate health care and select the most appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic options when addressing a health problem or a specific clinical condition (2). GPC responds to the need for concise, reliable, truthful and updated information; Its implementation guides the processes of clinical care towards greater consistency and efficiency (3) and its development aims to solve the uncertainty and ignorance of doctors about the diversity of clinical management.
The development of clinical practice guides (GPC) is the first step in a process that aims, to transmit health doctors and professionals, evidence -based recommendations for the management of a specific group of diseases or health conditions. However, although GPCs are the synthesis of the best scientific evidence available to support decision-making with patients, it has been demonstrated in various studies that the implementation and adherence to the recommendations is low and that GPCs are a sub-use resource.
